Acclaimed poet and essayist to give reading at Berry College

Acclaimed poet and essayist Camonghne Felix will give a reading Friday, Nov. 8, at Berry College.

The Georgia Poetry Circuit event, at 4 p.m. in McAllister Auditorium, is free and open to the public. Ten Georgia colleges participate in the circuit, which brings three acclaimed poets to each college annually.

Felix authored, “Dyscalculia: A Love Story of Epic Miscalculation,” which TIME and Vogue named one of the most anticipated books of 2023 and a top memoir of 2023. Her poetry debut, “Build Yourself a Boat” was longlisted for the 2019 National Book Award in Poetry, and shortlisted for the PEN/Open Book Awards and the Lambda Literary Awards.

Felix’s poetry has been featured in The Harvard Review, the Academy of American Poets, The New Yorker and Poetry Magazine, among others. She serves as the chair of nonfiction and professor of writing-multi-genre at The New School in New York City.
