Our Programs

Training & Workshops

training-and-workshops.jpgTo support our community in fostering connection and understanding, the Office of Belonging and Community Engagement offers a variety of voluntary workshops for students, staff, faculty, and community members. These sessions equip participants with practical approaches to cultivating belonging, navigating challenging conversations, and strengthening community engagement. Current offerings include Good Neighbor Essentials and Leading Restorative Conversations. We are proud to partner with The King Center to offer Nonviolence 365©.

Community Programs

community-programs.jpgOur community has a wide range of opportunities to engage with topics related to belonging and community impact. Through events such as guest speaker visits, civic conversations, and cultural celebrations—often hosted in collaboration with various departments and divisions—participants can explore meaningful topics and connect with others. There is no shortage of opportunities to get involved and contribute to a vibrant campus community.

Be Love Week

Be-Love-Week-icon.jpgConsistent with Martha Berry's motto, "not to be ministered unto, but to minister," Be Love Week is a weeklong campaign where the Berry College community mobilizes our good neighbor culture to serve in the Rome community. The week begins on MLK Day with a community gathering that honors the life and mission of Dr. King, and is followed by a week of service and partnership from various groups on campus.

Berry Circles

through-a-different-lens-graphicBerry Circles is a campus-wide good neighbor conversation series that aims to help the Berry community practice thoughtful and courageous conversation, share experiences and ideas, and build meaningful relationships. To see a full list of upcoming events, visit cal.berry.edu.

Solidarity Week

Through keynote speakers, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and cultural celebrations, participants engage with a range of perspectives, explore important topics, and develop practical strategies to strengthen communities.
